Praesentia
Praesentia is Jan Aas Sørensen's bachelor project: an audiovisual installation in uKirke, Copenhagen. A sensorial space where young people get a break from the noise and performance culture of everyday life, through a non-verbal experience of sound, light and visuals.
My role
My classmate Jens Christian Thinggaard and I wrote the music and did the sound design, in the studio at Sonic College. Jan made the visuals and built the installation.
Jens Christian and I also produced and recorded other musicians: our classmates Kevin Abundo (piano) and Stella Alexandra Sergev (vocals) were brought into the studio to perform.
Technical direction: Charlie Bruun. Documentary: Arendse Reeh.
Where it is going
A longer version of about 40 minutes, following the four seasons, is nearly finished. This time I am also part of the implementation, and of hosting viewings and events. The project now has even more musicians and collaborators, and the finished version will be published in the future.
